Creates a synthetic timber-and-hanger image, then alters its exposure, zoom, rotation and fixing pattern. The synthetic images are not evidence that the algorithm is accurate on real sites.
Same means enough visual features align under one geometric transformation. Uncertain means some features align, but not enough to merge safely. Different means the matcher did not establish identity; it does not prove the items are different.
The test deliberately avoids automatically merging uncertain matches. Lighting, repetitive timber patterns, motion blur and severe changes of viewpoint can still cause mistakes.
